Nawabi Moong Ki Daal Ladoo

Yellow Moong Dal – 1 cup

Milk Powder- ½ cup

Sugar- 1 cup

Saffron- pinch (soak in warm 2 tbsp milk)

Green Cardamom Powder- ¼  tsp

Kewra- 1 tbsp

Walnuts (chopped)- ¼ cup

Butter/Ghee- ¼ cup


Soak Yellow Moong Dal in water over night or for atleast 3-4 hours.

Drain the water and Chop the Moong Dal until a smooth texture arises.

In a suitable pan, non-stick pan: add in butter/ghee, Moong Dal on medium to low flame and mix continuously until golden-ish brown and raw smell goes away (around 15 mins). Now add in Sugar Saffron, Green Cardamom Powder, Milk Powder, Kewra and Walnuts. Mix well and cook until the mixture is thick and creates a dough form.

Dish-Out the mixture and when cool enough to touch (but still warm), make golf sized balls or laddu size balls from the mixture. Decorate with your favorite dry fruits or nuts. And ENJOY
